Default Defiant Daylight Adjusting Heavy Duty Timer

Just picked this up at home depot for $15. So far so good (running about 1 week).

This has a digital readout and 2 grounded outlets, one on either side. You can set it up for each individual outlet, and can set it per day (which doesn't really matter for reptiles, you want it every day). What I find really interesting about this is that one of the "On" options is "sunrise" and one of the "off" options is "sunset." You set the date and time, then pick your zone (north/central/south) and it's supposed to adjust for you throughout the year. It also adjusts for DST.

I'm thinking this will save those of us who adjust our timers throughout the year a little bit of time.

I'll have to post an update on how it does long term, but so far I'm loving the concept.

If possible send a link of what it looks like. I just bought the herp keeper for $170.00 that does that plus a little more. But yes the main reason is the sunset and sunrise and being able to adjust throughout the year. So I no longer have to do it.

That sure does look simple. Plus a much better price.

It was a breeze to set up. And yes, the very cheap price tag is a plus - even if it doesn't do everything. My main thing was that I was tired of adjusting the timer every couple months.

Hmmm I hate my current one. May need to switch to this come winter time.
